Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will be entering his ninth season in the NFL in the 2026 campaign. Although the Ravens failed to make the playoffs last season, former NFL defensive tackle Warren Sapp has offered a unique take on why he believes Baltimore will win the Super Bowl this season.
“I’m going with Lamar Jackson and Baltimore,” Sapp said on the “Unbuttoned” podcast on Wednesday. “For the first time since 2010, they got a single-digit murder rate going on in Baltimore and they quarterback has not been in the news all offseason. And you can’t tell me Josh Allen was the MVP of the National Football League last year.”

Sapp played in the NFL for 13 seasons from 1995 to 2007. He spent nine seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and four years with the Oakland Raiders.

Sapp finished his pro career with 569 tackles (434 solo), 96.5 sacks, 29 passes defended, 19 forced fumbles and 12 fumble recoveries across 198 games. He won the Super Bowl with the Buccaneers in 2003.
Sapp earned seven Pro Bowl selections and won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 1999. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
