3 Things that would occur if Penta cashes in throughout Trick Williams vs. Sami Zayn on WWE SmackDown

Trick Williams will challenge Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship tonight on SmackDown. The stakes are high, as the match will determine who faces Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel and whether Trick becomes a double champion.

Interestingly, Mr. Money in the Bank, Penta, is also lurking for the perfect opening to cash in his coveted contract and win his first World Title. But what if the masked star decides to cash in during tonight’s title match? In this article, we look at three things that could happen.

#3. He becomes the Undisputed WWE Champion

If Penta decides to cash in his Money in the Bank contract during tonight’s Undisputed WWE Championship match, he could pull off a major upset and win the title. To protect Sami Zayn’s momentum, the creative team could have the masked star pin Trick Williams instead.

Since winning the Undisputed WWE Championship would make Penta a full-time fixture on the blue brand, it would give him a chance to kick off a rivalry with Sami. The former champion could argue that he was never pinned for the title. More importantly, the masked star could then get his rematch against Roman Reigns in a Champion vs. Champion match at Crown Jewel.

If that happens, WWE could book Penta to avenge his previous loss to the World Heavyweight Champion this time around.

#2. Trick Williams could pin Penta to become a double champion

While the above scenario would be exciting for fans, WWE may decide that now is not the best time for Penta to win his first World Championship and instead take an unexpected route.

Sadly for Penta’s fans and fortunately for those rooting for Trick Williams, the creative team could book a shocking upset, with Williams pinning the masked star to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. This would make him a double champion, as he currently holds the United States Championship.

Also, Williams could prepare to face Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel while continuing his rivalry with Sami Zayn on SmackDown, as the latter was not pinned for the title.

#1. Sami Zayn pins Trick to retain his title

Alternatively, the creative team could stick to the original plans for Crown Jewel by having Sami Zayn retain the Undisputed WWE Championship and face Roman Reigns at the event.

If that is the case, WWE could have Sami pin Trick Williams to protect Penta’s momentum. The loss likely wouldn’t affect Williams much, since he would still have his United States Championship to fall back on.
