4 New challengers for Rhea Ripley after her win over Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy 2026

Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to win the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42. The Eradicator won the 2026 Women’s Elimination Chamber Match to earn the title shot, and she made the most of it at The Show of Shows.

However, The Storm wasn’t done with Ripley. Cargill targeted Mami and went on to pin her in a six-woman tag team match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The former champion received a rematch at Clash in Italy, but was unsuccessful in dethroning the Australian star.

After two straight wins over Cargill in singles matches, Ripley may move on to her next program. Here are four potential new challengers for Rhea Ripley’s WWE Women’s Title.

#4. Jacy Jayne

Jacy Jayne could be a logical next challenger for Rhea Ripley now that the feud with Jade Cargill appears to be over. Unlike some other names on the roster, Jayne already has unfinished business with the WWE Women’s Champion. The issues between the two date back to Jayne’s first night on SmackDown in April.

Alongside Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, Jayne made an immediate impact by targeting several top stars on the blue brand. Later that same night, she stepped into the ring with Ripley in the main event.

However, the match never received a proper conclusion. Jayne lost via disqualification after her Fatal Influence stablemates attacked Ripley, turning the contest into a three-on-one assault.

That said, the incident gives WWE a ready-made story. Jayne has already shown that she is willing to go after the top champion on SmackDown, and Ripley has a reason to want payback. Moreover, a title feud would help establish The Rockstar as a serious singles threat while giving Mami a fresh opponent.

#3. Blake Monroe

Blake Monroe is another superstar who could quickly enter the WWE Women’s Championship picture. The former NXT star officially debuted on SmackDown last month and has already started drawing attention on the blue brand.

More importantly, WWE may have already hinted at a future feud with Rhea Ripley. On the May 29 episode of SmackDown, The Glamour appeared in a “Diary” vignette that focused heavily on the Women’s Champion. Monroe suggested that Ripley’s tough exterior was a way of hiding her fears and past struggles. In contrast, she presented herself as someone capable of exposing those weaknesses.

A feud between them would also give WWE a fresh title program while helping establish the former AEW star as a major player on SmackDown early in her main roster run.

Monroe also has the credentials to justify a spot in the title picture. During her time in NXT, she established herself as one of the brand’s top stars and consistently featured in major storylines.

WWE clearly sees plenty of potential in her, which is evident from the attention she has received since arriving on SmackDown. A rivalry with Ripley would allow Monroe to build on that momentum and prove that she belongs near the top of the division.

#2. Jordynne Grace

Jordynne Grace arrived on the main roster earlier this year and looked set for a strong run. Lately, though, she has lost momentum. Grace failed to win a Women’s United States Championship No. 1 Contender’s Match in April and later lost to Lash Legend on Main Event.

Right now, she does not have a major storyline. A feud with Rhea Ripley could give her one. Grace has the strength and in-ring ability to be viewed as a credible challenger, and the matchup would feel fresh for the SmackDown women’s division.

Just as importantly, it would give Grace a chance to rebuild herself. She may not need to win the title, but a program with the Women’s Champion would put her back in the mix and give her something meaningful to do.

#1. Charlotte Flair could challenge Rhea Ripley

Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley have spent the majority of their career as rivals. However, lately, they have been forced to work together to counter common enemies. The Queen played a major role in Ripley’s title defense against Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy.

Flair came out and neutralized B-Fab and Michin, allowing Ripley to deal with Cargill one-on-one. While they may be on the same page for now, it is no secret that Charlotte Flair prioritizes gold over everything else.

The Queen is not the type of superstar who stays away from a championship for long. With Rhea Ripley moving on from her feud with Cargill, WWE could easily shift its focus to the 14-time Women’s Champion. The groundwork is already there. The two women have shared plenty of television time recently, and a title match would be easy to set up.

Moreover, Flair is one of the most credible challengers on SmackDown. She does not need months of build to enter the title picture. One strong promo or a victory over a top star could be enough to earn her a shot at the WWE Women’s Championship.
