MJF recently made his return to All Elite Wrestling at this week’s Holiday Bash edition of Dynamite. He immediately inserted himself into the AEW World Championship match at Worlds End and has become a fan favourite to win it.

Here are 4 reasons why the Salt of the Earth must win the World Championship at Worlds End:

#4. AEW shouldn’t waste another Casino Gauntlet contract

Last year, Christian Cage won the Casino Gauntlet Battle Royal at All In: London to get himself a guaranteed shot at the AEW World Championship. However, Captain Charisma failed to fully capitalise on the opportunity and failed his cash-in.

It would be devaluing towards the Casino Gauntlet Battle Royal if the holder of the contract failed the cash-in for two consecutive years. To preserve the prestige of the Battle Royal and the contract, MJF should win the AEW World Championship at Worlds End.

#3. Samoa Joe is a transitional Champion

Samoa Joe shocked the world when he won the World title at the Full Gear pay-per-view last month. He beat Hangman Adam Page inside a Steel Cage with some help from Hook. Swerve made his return to the company following the match and stood tall against the Opps.

Despite the shock factor, fans weren’t too excited to have Joe as the World Champion again. It was clear that he’s just a transitional Champion and will be dropping the title soon. Since MJF is fresh off his return, it would make sense to increase his momentum by putting the Championship on him.

#2. Too early to put the title on Hangman again

Hangman Adam Page won the AEW World Championship in one of the most emotional matches in the company’s history at All In: Texas in July. He beat Jon Moxley in a chaotic Texas Death Match with the help of the likes of Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland.

It wouldn’t make sense if the Cowboy wins the Championship again only a few weeks after losing it. Hangman’s face character was becoming a little stale and has been rejuvenated with his alliance with Swerve. It would be best to have MJF win the title at Worlds End instead of Hangman so that Hangman can explore his character more.

#1. MJF has a lot of momentum

MJF returned during the Contract signing at this past week’s Holiday Bash edition of Dynamite. He immediately cashed-in his Casino Gauntlet contract to insert himself into the World Championship match at Worlds End.

He went on to cut one of his best promos ever where he verbally assaulted all three of his opponents. The crowd was very much behind Maxwell during the whole segment and it would be great to put the title on him again.
