It has been over eight years since a male WWE Superstar under the age of thirty won a World Title in the company. The last individual to do so was the late great Bray Wyatt at Elimination Chamber 2017.
Bron Breakker had the chance to reset the counter on the latest episode of RAW, but he failed to dethrone CM Punk as the World Heavyweight Champion. The company boasts an impressive roster, filled with talented young stars.
Thanks for the submission!
There are several stars in both men’s and women’s rosters in their 20s who need to become World Champions soon. In this listicle, we will look at six such WWE Superstars:
#6. Lyra Valkyria
Lyra Valkyria had an impressive start to her main roster journey, becoming the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion. However, after a fierce rivalry with Becky Lynch, Valkyria ended up dropping the title.
Many expected her to move to the main roster scene after losing the Women’s IC Title, but she has moved to the tag team division alongside Bayley. That said, the 29-year-old certainly has a bright future in the company if she is booked right. The Triple H-led creative team needs to crown Lyra as World Champion sooner rather than later.
#5. Roxanne Perez
Another talented superstar currently performing in the tag team division is Roxanne Perez. The Prodigy is a member of The Judgment Day, and the group’s never-ending drama has arguably overshadowed Perez’s potential.
While the 24-year-old has been a regular feature on RAW, she needs to enter the Women’s World Title picture and become champion. The women’s division on the red brand is highly competitive, but Perez has the talent to stand out with the right creative direction.
#4. Austin Theory
After getting lost in the shuffle for a while, Austin Theory has received a career resurgence, thanks to The Vision. The young star was once touted as the future by Vince McMahon himself, but under the Triple H-led regime, Theory was moved back on the card.
That said, the former United States Champion has all the tools required to be a major star in WWE, and the creative team needs to push the 28-year-old in the World Title scene soon.
#3. WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio
Since turning heel, Dominik Mysterio has transformed himself into an iconic character that people love to hate. He was once seen as nothing more than Rey Mysterio’s son, but the young star has carved out his own path.
“Dirty” Dom currently reigns as the Intercontinental Champion, and once his run with the title comes to an end, the Triple H-led creative team should move him to the main event scene. The 28-year-old has established himself enough to be able to hold the World Title.
#2. Bron Breakker
While he may have failed on WWE RAW, it is safe to say that Bron Breakker has just gotten started. Paul Heyman believes The Dog of WWE will main event multiple WrestleManias in the future, and given Breakker’s potential, that indeed seems to be a spoiler.
After a valiant effort against CM Punk, the 28-year-old needs to win the World Heavyweight Championship soon.
#1. Oba Femi
Oba Femi is seemingly headed to the main roster after vacating the NXT Championship on this week’s episode of the black and silver brand. The Ruler recently had a major spotlight on him at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII, going toe-to-toe with Cody Rhodes and holding his own.
Both fans and critics have high hopes for Oba to become a main eventer in WWE. The creative team needs to strap a rocket to the Nigerian star’s back and crown him as a World Champion as soon as possible.
