7 issues in GTA 5 Online that GTA 6 should not have

While we can expect Rockstar Games to implement some things from GTA 5 Online in GTA 6, certain elements present in the current game should not be continued in the future. Fans have been asking for changes to such features for ages, but the developer has yet to consider them. On that note, the new game should not have issues from the past.

This article lists seven things from GTA 5 Online that should not be present in GTA 6.

7 GTA 5 Online things that should not be added in GTA 6

1) Recycling story mode elements

Many new DLC missions and properties in GTA 5 Online are elements reused from the GTA 5 story mode. These include locations and mission designs. We can presume that Rockstar is doing this since most of its developers are working on GTA 6. However, the same practice should not be continued after the release of the forthcoming title.

2) NPCs calling repeatedly

A few NPCs who give missions in GTA 5 Online tend to call you repeatedly without any reason. While the frequency has dropped, you can still get untimely calls from Lester, Simeon, Martin, and English Dave. We don’t want to get bombarded with repetitive phone calls in the upcoming game.

3) Platform-specific gameplay elements

Rockstar Games continues to endorse platform-specific features in GTA 5 Online. While graphics and other technical limitations are understandable, vehicles, missions, and other side activities should not be exclusive to one platform. The GTA 6 gameplay should have uniform features across all consoles and PC.

4) Black loading screens

GTA 5 Online has too many black loading screens that can be annoying at times. Even going in and out of safehouses is not seamless in the game. This should be modernized in GTA 6, and loading screens should be replaced with real-time small cutscenes.

5) Unskippable cutscenes

Both the GTA 6 story mode and online multiplayer should have skippable cutscenes, as many in GTA 5 Online cannot be skipped. While cutscenes are important for storytelling, they become annoying after a while. Therefore, all cutscenes in the upcoming game should be skippable.

6) Crazy drivers

NPC drivers in GTA 5 Online are notoriously bad, as they try to annoy you for no reason. They take wrong turns, cut lines, and even come flying out of nowhere just to hit you. Sometimes, they drive more recklessly than real players. Thus, Rockstar Games should make all drivers follow a uniform pattern in GTA 6.

7) Peer-to-peer connection lobby

GTA 5 Online implements a peer-to-peer lobby system that has caused many serious issues in the past. Thus, this system should not be brought back in GTA 6 Online. Instead, Rockstar should invest in dedicated servers as the upcoming game is expected to run for a longer duration in the future.
