Unrivaled, the new women’s 3-on-3 basketball league set to tip off in January 2025,

The league unveiled its logo on its website and social media platforms on Monday, July 8. It features a large block U in a shield with basketball markings in the background and a crown on top. The full-color version of the logo has a cyan-to-purple gradient in the background, with white line work and lettering.

The league also has a secondary logo of “UNRIVALED” spelled out in a block font and a crown hanging off the U. The crown and the U form a partial logo option.

Unrivaled will give elite women’s basketball players a chance to keep playing in North America during the WNBA offseason, rather than going overseas. The co-founders of the league and first two players to sign up are Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier and New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart.

Unrivaled will be comprised of six teams of five players each playing compressed full-court (70 feet by 50 feet) 3-on-3 games on a soundstage in Miami that can accommodate 1,000-1,500 spectators. The league also says on its website that they’re aiming for the highest average salaries in women’s sports history, and that all 30 players in the inaugural season will receive equity ownership.

Individual team names and logos have not been been released.

The league has brought in former WTA president Micky Lawler as commissioner. It has also secured investments from the likes of former ESPN president John Skipper; former Turner Broadcasting president David Levy; former U.S. women’s national soccer team members Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe; former NBA players Carmelo Anthony and Steve Nash; LPGA champion Michelle Wie West; and actor/entreprenuer Ashton Kutcher.

Unrivaled will launch in January 2025. The league doesn’t have a broadcast deal yet, but with former TV executives like Levy and Skipper on board, they’re confident they’ll have one by tip-off.
