The Purdue football program unveiled new uniforms on Thursday morning, marking the first update to the Boilermakers’ look since the 2016 season.

The black home and white road jerseys prominently display a “Purdue” wordmark across the chest above the program’s custom number font.

The wordmark is gold and the numbers are white with a gold stroke on the black jerseys, while the white jerseys feature a black wordmark and black numbers with a gold stroke.

The sleeves feature a new striping pattern inspired by the Boilermakers’ helmets during the Joe Tiller era, which were gold with a black and white Brashier stripe down the center.

The pattern changes depending on the base color, as it is mostly black with a white and gold stripe through the middle of Purdue’s new white jersey and pants.

It’s also black with a gold and white stripe through the middle on the gold helmets and pants. The Boilermakers also have matching black helmets and pants.

The uniforms are complete with a Motion “P” logo on the sides of the helmets – which have a locomotive warning label on the back – and the base of the Nike Vapor F.U.S.E. collar design.

With the update, the Boilermakers are no longer the only power conference program outfitted in Nike’s Mach Speed template, which was introduced during the 2013 bowl season.
