Minnesota Twins infielder Kyle Farmer was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder strain, the team announced Friday.

The move is retroactive to July 11.

In 63 games this season, Farmer is hitting .189 with a .291 on-base percentage. He drove in 15 runs and scored another 15 while walking 13 times.

Farmer, 33, has a .250 career batting average with 50 home runs and 244 RBI over eight seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers (2017-18), Cincinnati Reds (2019-22) and Twins.

In a corresponding move, the Twins recalled catcher Jair Camargo from Triple-A St. Paul.

Camargo, 25, made his major league debut on April 16 and played in two games, going 0-for-4 with a walk and a run scored.

After being sent down to the Saints, he hit .215 over 33 games, notching eight doubles and a triple to go with six homers and 27 RBI.

The Twins open a three-game series Friday night at the San Francisco Giants.
