WHL’s Calgary Hitmen Unveil thirtieth Anniversary Logo, Jersey – Sports activitiesLogos.Net News

The traditional gift for a 30th anniversary is pearls, apparently, but the Calgary Hitmen are instead going with copper.

The Western Hockey League unveiled a logo and alternate jersey last week to celebrate their 30th anniversary. They wore the jersey on the ice for the first time for their 2024-25 home opener on Sunday, September 29, against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The anniversary logo is a recolored version of the Hitmen’s primary logo, with almost all the details on the masked hockey player switched to copper. The only white in the logo appears in the outermost outline, the team name and in the stick tape, which now includes “XXX” to denote the team’s 30 years in existence. The only red in the logo appears under the masked player’s eyes.

The jersey, meanwhile, features the recolored logo front and center on the chest. The base of the jersey is black, with copper and white stripes around the waist and sleeves. The collar is black with white trim.

The left shoulder features the Hitmen’s secondary logo consisting of just the hockey player’s mask. On the right shoulder sits a version of the Hitmen’s original logo from 1995, recolored to match their current color scheme.

Numbers on the back and sleeves are white with black and copper outlines. The names on the back are white with a single copper outline. The jerseys are paired with black pants and black socks with stripes that match the sleeves.

The Hitmen’s next game is on Wednesday, October 2, when they host the Saskatoon Blades at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
