Deion Sanders Jr. makes an eye catching revelation about Travis Hunter after Heisman win

Travis Hunter’s contribution to the Colorado football program has been crucial. The two-way star has been one of the most important players on the Buffaloes team since he arrived in Boulder in 2023. His good work this season has earned him the Heisman Trophy.

However, Travis Hunter’s efforts to ensure the team’s success go way beyond the field. The standout player also contributes to the program financially.

In his recent appearance on the “Zero 2 Sixty” podcast, Deion Sanders Jr. revealed that Travis Hunter, the Heisman Trophy winner, does not take any money from Colorado’s collective. Instead, Hunter donates his NIL earnings to support other players on the team.

“Did you know he receives no NIL (money) from the collective?” Sanders said of Hunter. “He’s one of the biggest donors to the collective, meaning he’s paying a lot of others’ NIL on this team … He’s paying at least 10-15 guys’ NIL on the team. He’s donating his own money.”

Although the precise figures remain unconfirmed, Hunter’s choice to financially support his teammates is nothing short of extraordinary. This act highlights his unwavering selflessness and deep commitment to fostering unity and growth within his team.

One last dance for Travis Hunter at Colorado

After winning the Heisman Trophy, Travis Hunter is hoping to end his college football career on a high note. The two-way standout has expressed his desire to play in the Alamo Bowl against BYU before declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.

“It’s definitely important, because I started this thing with Coach Prime and Shedeur, and most of the coaches on the coaching staff, so I wanted to finish it off right,” Hunter said.

“I didn’t give them a full season my first year, so I’m gonna go ahead and end this thing off right. It’s going to be our last game together, so I’m going to go out there and dominate, and show loyalty that I have for them.

Hunter’s decision reflects his commitment to his team and his determination to leave a lasting legacy on the field. At a time when bowl game opt-out has become a tradition for potential top draft picks, the best player in the landscape is exhibiting a selfless act.

Fresh off winning the prestigious Heisman Trophy, Travis Hunter is set to suit up for Colorado in their Alamo Bowl clash against BYU on Dec. 28.
