Barack Obama’s wife continues to appear to be avoiding President Trump at all costs for reasons that are not immediately clear.
The Associated Press reported today that Michelle Obama announced she would NOT attend President Trump’s historic Inauguration ceremony on January 20.
This marks her second snub of the soon-to-be 47th President in as many weeks.
On an interesting note, though, Barack will be there.
The Office of Barack and Michelle Obama shared the following statement to the Associated Press:
“Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies. Former first lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration.”
No one in Obama circles, including her, explained why Michelle was skipping Trump’s inauguration. Readers can draw their own conclusions regarding what, if anything, this means.
In addition to Barack, the Clintons and the Bushes will also be in attendance, honoring Trump as he once again takes the oath of office. Of course, Trump’s family will be there as well.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Michelle’s glaring absence at former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral last week did not go unnoticed, and the supposed reason for her absence raised a few eyebrows.
Because of his wife’s absence, Barack Obama took her place next to Trump and had a good time.
A person ‘familiar’ with Michelle’s schedule ‘assured‘ Politico that she was not trying to snub the 45th and soon-to-be-47th president. Instead, the unnamed Obama source claimed Barack’s wife had a “scheduling conflict” and was forced to stay in Hawaii.
Now, she is skipping Trump’s Inauguration without providing a single reason or excuse. Is this her snubbing Trump, or is something else going on?
