Field Design For Super Bowl LIX Between Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles Revealed – SportsLogos.Net News

With exactly one week until kickoff, the field design for Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles has been revealed.

The turf at Caesars Superdome – home of the New Orleans Saints – prominently displays the NFL shield at midfield, just as it has for 45 of the first 58 Super Bowls and every year since Super Bowl XXXVIII.

The logo for Super Bowl LIX, which combines the Lombardi Trophy and Roman numerals with shades of red and green and a design inspired by the wrought-iron balconies in the French Quarter, has been placed at the 25-yard lines.

As the designated home team, the Eagles will occupy the west sideline of the Superdome while the Chiefs will be on the east sideline. Philadelphia’s team area is midnight green and Kansas City’s is gold, with both featuring their primary marks.

The Eagles’ end zone, which is on the south side of the stadium, features their logo to the left of their wordmark in white against a midnight green background, while the Chiefs’ gold end zone follows the same design but with a red wordmark.

Philadelphia had a midnight green end zone in three of its four previous Super Bowl appearances, including a win over the New England Patriots in LII and losses to the Patriots in XXXIX and Chiefs in LVII, as well as a gray background in a loss to the Oakland Raiders in XV.

Kansas City, meanwhile, has used a gold end zone in all six of its previous Super Bowl appearances, including this exact design in wins over the San Francisco 49ers in LIV and LVIII and the Eagles in LVII, as well as a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in LV.

All that said, the field design for LIX – which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX – is nearly identical to LVII, aside from the updated Super Bowl logo at the 25-yard lines and the fact that the game is being played on turf instead of a natural grass field at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.
