Coco Gauff winning the 2025 French Open after completing a scintillating comeback from a set down against Aryna Sabalenka has become the talk of the tennis town. The American has clinched the second Grand Slam title of her career to bring an end to a superb European clay swing.
The tennis world was in for a treat when the top two seeds, Sabalenka and Gauff, made it to the final of the French Open. Though it was the Belarusian who came out guns blazing, the American turned the game around with her unrelenting will to win (5)6-7, 6-2, 6-4 after two hours and 38 minutes.
Tennis fans went gaga over the match online. One fan confidently claimed that this was just the beginning of Coco Gauff’s dominance at the Grand Slam level. The American won her maiden Major at the 2023 US Open, where she also defeated Aryna Sabalenka.
“2nd of many to follow. She’s on her GOAT path,” the fan claimed.
Sabalenka usually teases her team after losing in the finals, however, this was not the case today. The Belarusian was in tears, which made one fan feel,
“If she didn’t make any rude jokes to her team she’s really hurt omg,” the fan felt.
