Blue Ribbons on Baseball Jerseys Today – SportsLogos.Net News

Why are all the baseball teams wearing blue ribbons on their jerseys today?

Because it’s Father’s Day, of course!

In the world of Major League Baseball, this means we get baby blue ribbons on the uniforms of Major League Baseball players, coaches, managers, and umpires for all games played on Sunday, June 15th.

What isn’t happening this year are blue caps, with the exception of the COVID season, this is the first time they’ve been missing since 2015. I’ve been told they may return in 2026.

FATHER’S DAY CAPS THROUGH THE YEARS

Below is a quick trip back through time at the various Father’s Day cap and jersey designs that we’ve seen on the field since the program was first introduced in 2016. Note that there was no Father’s Day cap during the pandemic-shortened season in 2020.
