Georgia to Debut Jerseys With Country Name in Georgian at EuroBasket – SportsLogos.Net News

When Georgia‘s men’s national basketball team takes the court at EuroBasket later this summer, their national pride will be front and centre.

For the first time ever, the name of their country will be printed across the chest of their jerseys in the Georgian language. Up until now, it was printed in English.

Other than the printing across the chest, the Georgian uniforms remain unchanged from EuroBasket qualifying tournaments and other games earlier this year. Made by Macron, the white uniforms have two-tone grey striping on the white collar and arm holes, while the red jerseys have two-toned red striping.

Both uniforms have the Georgian flag in the middle of the chest and the Georgian Basketball Federation logo on the right shoulder. The country name on the chest, along with the name on the back and the numbers on both sides, are single-colour and set in the GBF’s propietary font.

Macron has outfitted the Georgian national teams since 2023. Prior to that, they wore uniforms made by Nike and Spalding.

The 2025 edition of EuroBasket — also known as the European Basketball Championship — starts on August 27 is being hosted by Cyprus, Finland, Poland, and Latvia. Georgia is in Group C alongside Cyprus, Italy, defending champions Spain, Greece, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Georgia has qualified for every EuroBasket tournament since 2011, and qualified for their first FIBA World Cup in 2023.
