Sophie Cunningham of the Indiana Pacers is now a target after protecting her teammate Caitlin Clark.

Sophie Cunningham’s social media went viral when she stood up for her teammate Caitlin Clark and destroyed an opponent who targeted Clark in a game a few weeks ago.

In a game in June, Caitlin Clark was hammered by two players on the opposing team. (Clark has missed 10 games this year due to injuries.)

Then with 47 seconds left on the clock, Clark’s teammate Sophie Cunningham gets slammed into by Jacy Sheldon and was having none of it. Cunningham slammed Sheldon to the floor and all hell broke loose. Cunningham, Sheldon and another Sun player were kicked out of the game.

It’s well known that the refs in the WNBA are horrible. Their calls seem to always go against common sense and Caitlin Clark and her teammates.

In a game yesterday, Clark was out with an injury, so the opposing team targeted Cunningham. On this play Cunningham was jumped on and had her hair pulled. Fortunately, she jumped up laughing.
