Los Angeles Chargers Reveal New Navy Blue Alternate Uniforms, Gold Jerseys, Powder Blue Pants – Sports activitiesLogos.Net News

The Los Angeles Chargers confirmed our report from May when they unveiled their new navy blue alternate helmets, as well as new San Diego-inspired navy blue alternate uniforms on Tuesday afternoon.

But rather than add a complementary road uniform as we anticipated, they instead introduced new gold alternate jerseys and powder blue alternate pants that can be worn with their powder blue home or white road jerseys.

The navy blue helmets aren’t an exact replica of what the Chargers wore from 1988-2006, as they feature white jersey numbers like their standard white helmets, but they include the same white lightning bolts with a navy blue and gold stroke on the sides as the original design.

Much like Los Angeles’ powder blue home and white road uniforms, the lightning bolts are then carried to the shoulders of the new navy blue jerseys and pants. This helps separate them from the navy blue Color Rush uniforms they now replace.

The jerseys still include Los Angeles’ current number font, with white numbers that feature a navy blue and gold stroke on the navy blue jersey to match the lightning bolts. The numbers were simply white with a gold stroke on the previous Color Rush design, which were introduced in 2020.

The new gold jerseys, meanwhile, will be worn with the Chargers’ standard white helmets, gold pants and gold socks socks. They follow the same template as the aforementioned powder blue home and white road jerseys, but include white numbers and lightning bolts with powder blue outlines.

Los Angeles has never worn gold jerseys, nor has the franchise donned powder blue pants, which were another unexpected addition to the wardrobe. It’s unlikely the powder blue pants will ever be worn with their new navy blue or gold jerseys, however.

The Chargers will debut the “Charger Power” gold uniforms on Oct. 19 against the Indianapolis Colts, while the “Super Chargers” navy blue design will be worn on Oct. 23 against the Minnesota Vikings and Nov. 30 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
