Indianapolis Colts To Wear “Indiana Nights” Alternate Uniforms Against San Francisco 49ers – SportsLogos.Net News

Flying under the radar with more than half a dozen NFL teams unveiling new alternate or throwback uniforms and helmets this month, the Indianapolis Colts revealed they’ll wear their “Indiana Nights” alternate uniforms when they host the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 22.

The uniforms feature “Anvil” black helmets with Indianapolis’ iconic horseshoe logo on the sides, heather blue jerseys with the franchise’s secondary “C” logo on the left chest and two stripes that run horizontally across the shoulders, as well as matching heather blue pants.

Of course, the black helmets are a significant departure from the Colts’ classic look, as they have almost exclusively worn white helmets since the 1956 season – aside from one game in 2010 when they wore navy blue helmets with their 1955 throwback uniforms.

Indianapolis is 0-2 in the uniforms since they debuted, including losses to the Cleveland Browns in 2023 and Detroit Lions in 2024. There will be a slight change to the uniforms this season, though, as the Colts will wear a patch in honor of late owner Jim Irsay, who passed away in March.

Additionally, the Colts announced they will host a “White Out” for the second year in a row when they take on the Denver Broncos on Sept. 14. They also wore their all-white road uniforms at home in last December’s win over the Tennessee Titans, referring to it as a “Winter White Out.”
