NATO assets in Eastern Europe are on the edge.

While the peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine fail to advance, the war goes on, furiously as ever.

Nightly, Russian forces carry out massive air raids, with as many as 700 geranium drones and dozens of missiles targeting Ukrainian military facilities and energy infrastructure – including on the most western regions, away from the front line.

During the 3-and-a-half years, we’ve seen the occasional stray drone breaching the Polish border – but tonight the situation escalated considerably as Polish authorities were forced to close Warsaw International Airport and scramble military aircraft due to reports surfacing of Russian drones inside their borders.

CNN reported:

“The Polish military’s Operational Command said in a statement that ‘ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have reached the highest level of alert’ after Russia launched massive airstrikes on Ukrainian territory.

‘To ensure the security of Polish airspace, the Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces has activated all necessary procedures,” the statement said, adding that the Polish military is “fully prepared for immediate response’.

A Notice to Airmen posted on the US Federal Aviation Administration’s website said Warsaw Chopin Airport was unavailable ‘due to unplanned military activity related to ensuring state security’.”

Ukrainian Air took to Telegram and posted that drones were heading west and threatening the city of Zamosc, in Poland.

It bears noting that the inflammatory statement has since been deleted.

It’s not clear how many drones (if any) really breached Poland’s airspace.

It’s long been a pipe dream to the Kiev regime that some kind of accident would pull a NATO country into the war, activating Article 5, and kicking off WW3 for good.
