‘Polish Boys’ Alternate Identity Headlines Promo Schedule for AHL’s Cleveland Monsters – SportsLogos.Net News

When it comes to the Cleveland Monsters’ promotional nights for the upcoming American Hockey League season …

The Monsters unveiled their promotional schedule on Friday, September 12, and based on the chatter it generated on social media, the one fans are most looking forward to is Cleveland Polish Boys Night on Saturday, April 4, against the Milwaukee Admirals.

That night, the Monsters will transform into the Polish Boys for one night only, paying tribute to the kielbasa sausage, french fries, barbecue sauce and coleslaw sandwich that originated in Cleveland.

While jerseys won’t be unveiled for a few months, the Monsters did post their Polish Boys logo to social media over the weekend. It depicts an anthropomorphized sausage sandwich holding a french fry hockey stick, with long coleslaw hair flowing behind it. “Polish” is written out in a barbecue sauce script across the front of the sandwich, with “BOYS” in a regular font underneath.

The Polish Boys will go nicely with the Monsters’ food-themed alternate identity from the 2024-25 season, the Cleveland Pierogies.

Along with the Polish Boys, the Monsters will also be marking the AHL’s 90th anniversary by taking the ice as the nine-time Calder Cup champion Cleveland Barons for three games in November and December. They’ll wear a retro logo featuring a hockey-playing baron in a top hat and monocle and a number 9 on his jersey. They’ll also give away Barons hats at those games with their nine championship years listed on the left side.

Other Monsters promotions throughout the 2025-26 season include:

  • Hockey Fights Cancer (November 29)
  • Teddy Bear Toss (December 20)
  • Superman Night (December 30)
  • Lake Erie Monsters Weekend (January 30-31)
  • Hip-Hop and Hockey: A Black Heritage Celebration (February 20)
  • Emo Night (February 27)
  • Pucks and Paws (March 7)
  • Country Music Night (March 28)
