Brooklyn Beckham has spoken publicly for the first time about the reported rift within the Beckham family, addressing ongoing speculation while competing in the Ryder Cup Celebrity All-Star Match on September 24, 2025, as reported by US Weekly on the same day.
Reportedly speaking to the Daily Mail at the tournament, Brooklyn Beckham, 26, dismissed rumors surrounding his strained relationship with parents David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, as well as brothers Romeo and Cruz, saying,
“Everyone is always going to say rubbish, I just try and do this, play some golf with some friends. It’s good fun.”
The comments marked Brooklyn Beckham’s first direct response since reports of the family tension surfaced earlier this year, with sources previously citing disagreements dating back to David’s 50th birthday party in May, according to US Weekly.
Brooklyn Beckham talks about support from wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham
When asked about dealing with public scrutiny, Brooklyn credited his wife, Nicola Peltz-Beckham, for helping him stay grounded, saying,
“There’s always going to be people saying negative things but I have a very supportive wife. Me and her, we just do our thing. We just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy.”
Brooklyn Beckham, who married Nicola in April 2022, recently revealed details about their August 2, 2025, vow renewal, calling it “beautiful” in an interview as reported by US Weekly on August 9, 2025. Speaking to a media outlet, Brooklyn reportedly said,
“We just wanted a really beautiful experience, a really cute memory. To be honest, I could renew my vows every single day with her.”
Brooklyn also reportedly said that the couple prefers quiet nights at home over public appearances.
“When we are together, which is a lot of the time, we just hang out with our four dogs, and drink wine at home.”
Family tensions date back to May celebrations
Reports of a family rift began after Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola skipped David Beckham’s 50th birthday party in May 2025.
A source reportedly told Us Weekly in June that David and Victoria “went from being sad and devastated to now accepting it and realizing there is nothing they can do” about the situation. “They are done speaking about it,” the insider said at the time, noting that the couple had “thrown in the towel” and believed reconciliation was up to Brooklyn.
Neither David nor Victoria Beckham attended Brooklyn and Nicola’s vow renewal in August, marking another public absence amid the tensions.
While Brooklyn did extend birthday wishes to his sister Harper Beckham in July via Instagram Stories, according to US Weekly, he has not publicly commented on his relationship with his parents or brothers until now. Despite the speculation, he insisted this week that he “never” worries about public opinion regarding his personal life.

Following the celebrity golf match at Bethpage Black golf course in Farmingdale, New York, Brooklyn Beckham told The Daily Mail he was returning to Los Angeles, where he and Nicola recently purchased a new home.
“I have to go back. I left my wife with our four dogs on her own, so I have to go back and help out and get back to work.”
Brooklyn Beckham, who launched his hot sauce line Cloud 23 in 2023, has continued to share his cooking projects and personal life on social media. Despite the public nature of his family ties, his recent remarks suggest a focus on marriage, business ventures, and life away from the ongoing speculation surrounding the Beckham family feud.
