Pres Trump is saying:
- He will be discussing a lot of things with China Pres. Xi in two weeks.
- We are going to do well in that negotiations.
China has played the “rare earth card” which is a concern to the US for defense and other industry the. However, there are other businesses that the US could use to bother China. They floated the idea of aircraft yesterday.
Having said that China is also looking to increase relations with Europe. Could China buy aircraft from Europe instead of the US?
For rare-earth the US is looking for alternative sources. They signed a deal with Australia just yesterday.
The big question is can the two superpowers get along and cooperate to each countries advantage or because the level of trust is just not there, there will always be potential roadblocks?
