UK FTSE 100 and Spain’s Ibex both closed at record levels today. As London/European traders head for the exits, the major US stock indices are also higher and on pace for record closes.
- Dow industrial average is up 241 points or 0.51% at 47448.88
- S&P index is up 66.81 points or 0.90% 6858.58
- NASDAQ index is up 374.23 points or 1.62% at 23580.
- Russell 2000 is up 2.71 points or 0.11% at 2516.18
Looking at other markets,
- Crude oil is trading up $0.15 at $61.65.
- Gold is down $-117 or -2.83% and is also back below the $4000 low at $3994.05.
