A WWE veteran made some interesting yet controversial comments while comparing Logan Paul with Jon Moxley and other AEW names. The Maverick has turned out to be a successful star in the Stamford-based promotion. In just a few years, he has already gone head-to-head against names like John Cena, Roman Reigns, and AJ Styles. Stevie Richards compared him to certain stars from All Elite Wrestling.
Names like Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), among others, from the Jacksonville-based promotion are well-respected worldwide and are experienced veterans of pro wrestling, whereas the former WWE United States Champion has only entered the industry a few years ago. Yet comparisons have been made.
While speaking on The Stevie Richards Show, former WWE star Richards claimed that Logan Paul was better than stars like Jon Moxley, Will Ospreay, The Young Bucks, Darby Allin, and Kenny Omega because The Maverick had carved out a character who could be loved or hated, while noting that he was just as athletic as the top AEW stars.
“Logan Paul is better than everybody in AEW. [John Moxley?] Yes. [Darby Allin?] Yes. [Will Ospreay?] Yes. [Swerve Strickland?] Yes. [Kenny Omega?] Yes. [Young Bucks?] Yes. [Why? There are some big names there. Why is Logan Paul better than them?] Because, he’s a character. I get that I can hate or love Logan Paul, and he’s every bit as athletic as all of them. He’s proven it,” Richards said.

Another WWE veteran praised Logan Paul
The former United States Champion has been a great heel since setting foot in the global sports entertainment juggernaut. He recently battled CM Punk on the microphone during the recent edition of RAW.
While speaking on Busted Open Podcast, Bully Ray said that The Maverick could easily get heat from the fans, justifying how he had built up his heel character, noting how it was rare in the industry.
“If you insert Logan Paul anywhere with any babyface, he’s going to get heat, and he’s going to be hated. That is very, very rare in professional wrestling these days, a heel that is hated no matter what,” Ray said.
It will be interesting to see if Logan Paul delivers at WWE Survivor Series: War Games, as he has aligned with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed of The Vision.
