HoYoverse has rolled out the Zenless Zone Zero 2.4 preload option across all platforms before the major update on November 26, 2025. You can use the feature to download all the necessary files ahead of time. While the process may vary for different platforms, completing it will reduce the time it takes to boot up the new update.

Here’s everything you need to know to complete the ZZZ 2.4 preload.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.4 preload size for all platforms

The Zenless Zone Zero 2.4 preload feature was made available on November 24, 2025, across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile devices. The file size will vary depending on whichever platform you are on:

  • PC: 6 GB
  • Android and iOS: 3 GB
  • PlayStation: 17 GB
  • Xbox: 20 GB

It is worth noting that additional space will be required if you have installed multiple voice-over expansion packages. Always check the storage requirement page and adhere to it to ensure a smooth preload process.

HoYoverse has unveiled the upcoming contents via the Zenless Zone Zero 2.4 livestream. The patch will feature two new characters and exciting events. Follow the steps below to preload the update:

How to preload ZZZ 2.4 on PC

  • Launch HoyoPlay on PC and choose ZZZ if you have multiple games installed.
  • Find the Pre-Install icon next to the Start button and click on it. Doing so will bring up the pop-up window containing the storage requirements.
  • Press the Download button below to confirm the process.

How to preload ZZZ 2.4 on Android and iOS

  • Mobile devices do not have a dedicated launcher, so you have to boot up the game to preload the upcoming patch.
  • Now, head to the login screen.
  • Click on the Pre-Download Resource icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen. Doing so will open a pop-up window showing the storage requirements.
  • Press Confirm to download the files.

How to preload ZZZ 2.4 on PlayStation and Xbox

The preload process is automated for PlayStation and Xbox. Just launch the game on your console, and the game will automatically download the files after some time if there’s ample storage space available.

Alternatively, you can preload the game on Xbox from the game’s Updates page. Head to the home screen and navigate to My games & apps. You will find the Updates page under the Manage tab.
