Beloit Sky Carp alternate identification performs on legend of haunted highway – SportsLogos.Net News

The Beloit Sky Carp, High-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins in the Midwest League, will play select games in 2026 as the Eerie Wearies. The nickname refers to stories that locals tell about Weary Road in nearby Evansville, Wisconsin.

The road is known for a dark tunnel effect created by trees that hang over its winding route. Per the Sky Carp, “Drivers often report flickering lights, shifting shadows, and mist that seems to rise from nowhere, creating an air of mystery that has fascinated locals for generations.”

A suite of logos features a vintage roadster cruising along the route, the telltale trees hanging over the road, and a wordmark that creates a ghostly, hovering effect.

The Eerie Wearies (not to be confused with the Erie Seawolves, who play 540 miles away on the other side of the Great Lakes) will take to the field when Midwest League games begin in April.
