Virat Kohli’s hilarious ‘Baba ji ka thullu’ celebration after Quinton de Kock’s wicket goes viral in IND vs SA 2025 2nd ODI [Watch]

Team India star Virat Kohli amused fans with a hilarious celebration after South African opener Quinton de Kock’s wicket in Raipur during the ongoing (Wednesday, December 3) second ODI. The southpaw was dismissed in the fifth over of South Africa’s run chase.

De Kock attempted to play a lofted shot on the leg side off left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh’s bowling. However, he got a leading edge and was caught at mid-on by Washington Sundar.

Interestingly, Virat Kohli came up with a cheeky dance before performing the ‘Baba ji ka thullu’ gesture after the breakthrough. You can watch the former captain’s funny celebration below:

De Kock’s struggles with the bat continued in the series. The veteran keeper-batter scored just eight runs off 11 balls in the second ODI. He batted at No. 3 in the opening clash, where he registered a two-ball duck.

The Proteas were under pressure following the early wicket. They need to chase down a daunting 359-run target in Raipur to keep the three-match series alive.

Virat Kohli has been at his vintage best in the ongoing ODI series. He kicked off the rubber with a splendid 135-run knock from 120 balls. He followed it up with yet another dazzling batting performance in Raipur.

The right-handed batter notched up his 53rd ODI century, scoring 102 runs off 93 deliveries with the help of two fours and seven sixes. Ruturaj Gaikwad also crossed the 100-run mark, slamming his maiden ton in the format.

He was the top scorer with 105 runs from 83 balls. Stand-in skipper KL Rahul played an impactful knock as well, remaining unbeaten on 66 in 43 balls.

The Men in Blue ultimately finished at 358/5 after 50 overs. Marco Jansen claimed two wickets, while Lungi Ngidi and Nandre Burger took one scalp each. A victory here would give India an unassailable 2-0 lead.
