Not long ago, Anisimova revealed how she is keeping herself fit during the tennis off-season. She posted pictures of herself posing in the middle of a track while donning a black top and red athletic shorts. The post’s caption read:
“Its track season again.”
Along with this, the American tennis player also reunited with her mother, Olga Anisimova, and older sister, Maria Anisimova. She posted endearing snaps with them on her Instagram handle.
Amanda Anisimova opened up about her loss against Aryna Sabalenka at the WTA Finals
After losing to Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-final round of the WTA Finals in Riyadh, Amanda Anisimova sat for a press conference. Opening up about her performance, she said that she played good tennis and admitted that she learned a lot of things from the match. (as quoted by tennisworld)
“I think I played good tennis at points in the match. And at some points there was a drop. It was kind of like a roller coaster. There are things I can learn from this match but it’s too soon to process it,” said Amanda Anisimova.
Shortly after this, Sabalenka also lauded Anisimova’s game, saying:
“I told Amanda she should be proud of her season. She played incredible tennis the whole season and it’s just the beginning. I know right now she’s probably disappointed, but many more things are coming her way for sure,” said Sabalenka.
Amanda Anisimova opened her season by competing at the ASB Classic. However, she faced an early exit after being trounced by Alycia Parks in the first round. The latter dominated the round, claiming a 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 win.
The 24-year-old won two titles in the 2025 season, including the Qatar Open and the China Open. In addition to this, she also reached the finals of two majors, including Wimbledon and the US Open.
