Team India have missed all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s services in the ongoing one-day series against South Africa. The 32-year-old has been out of action in international cricket since the Super Four match against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup in Dubai in September 2025. He bowled only one over in the match and walked off due to a niggle. Subsequently, he missed the final against Pakistan as well.
Pandya could have proved to be a handy customer for Team India in the ongoing ODI series against the Proteas. The Baroda star has the ability to clear the field in the end overs and can also open the bowling if needed. Pandya struck an unbeaten 77 off 42 balls for Baroda against Punjab recently in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, paving the way for his T20I return.
The versatile cricketer has so far featured in 94 ODI matches. In this feature, we compare his stats in the format with those of former Proteas all-rounder Lance Klusener after the latter had also played 94 one-dayers.
