WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is all set to take place this month on December 13, at the Capital One Arena, in Washington, D.C. John Cena will get inside the ring for his final ever wrestling match in the main event of the show.
Apart from that, there will be some NXT superstars also competing against WWE superstars at SNME, as John Cena said last month that a few superstars from the NXT will take on WWE superstars in exhibition matches. And we have WWE Undisputed Champion, Cody Rhodes, also getting a ring with a big superstar from NXT. Here is the updated match card for SNME.
Thanks for the submission!
Bayley takes on Sol Ruca
The Role Model Bayley will take on Sol Ruca in a one-on-one match at WWE SNME. Bayley was on SmackDown tonight, and she met Nick Aldis, who later revealed Sol Ruca as her opponent at SNME. The two had a face-off and Bayley told Sol Ruca that she had seen her on NXT and that she was a decent performer, but competing on RAW & SmackDown is altogether a different game.
Sol Ruca, however, was unmoved by Bayley’s words, and instead, she said that she knew that and was ready for it. Bayley told Ruca that she would watch her match at NXT Deadline tonight.
Sol Ruca will team up with Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan to take on Jordynne Grace and Kendal Grey in an Iron Survivor Challenge match. It will be interesting to see if Bayley will play a spoiler in this match to cost Sol Ruca, setting up the tone for their bout at SNME.
Cody Rhodes takes on the winner between Ricky Saints and Oba Femi at WWE SNME
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will square off against the winner between NXT Champion Ricky Saints and Oba Femi. The two NXT superstars will clash for the NXT Championship at NXT Deadline tonight, and whoever wins the match gets the chance to exchange fists with The American Nightmare at SNME.
Cody was on SmackDown tonight and had a face-off with both Ricky Saints and Oba Femi. He wished them good luck for their match at Deadline tonight.
Apart from having a word with these two, Cody was also seen in action as he attacked Drew McIntyre backstage. While McIntyre was on the show despite being suspended, Rhodes attacked him in the truck on which The Scottish Warrior had arrived. Rhodes later stormed to the ring and demanded that Nick Aldis reinstate McIntyre so that he could face him in a one-on-one match.
It will be interesting to see if The Scottish Warrior will have anything to do with Cody’s match at SNME.
John Cena will battle Gunther in his retirement match
Gunther defeated LA Knight to win the Last Time is Tournament, and he will be one-on-one against John Cena at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. Gunther, in fact, was already a favorite to win this tournament and be Cena’s final opponent.
The Ring General retired Hall of Famer, Goldberg, in his retirement match at SNME in July earlier this year. And now, Cena will get inside the ring with Gunther. It now remains to be seen if Gunther will beat Cena to add one more feather in his cap, or if John Cena will prevail over the former World Heavyweight Champion and retire with his head held high.
