The UFC 323 bout between Jan Blachowicz and Bogdan Guskov had no shortage of drama, offering vicious beatdowns and electric comebacks. However, as the judges’ scorecards ruled the bout a majority draw, fans were unconvinced.
Blachowicz started the fight strong, stringing together his striking efficiently. Things, however, took a sharp turn in the second round. The Polish veteran was caught with a powerful right hand, causing him to crash to the canvas. Guskov quickly took control and pieced up his opponent with vicious ground-and-pound.
However, when all seemed lost, the 42-year-old rallied back, swarming his opponent with vicious combinations, scoring a knockdown of his own during the dying seconds of the third. Nevertheless, Blachowicz couldn’t quite get his opponent out of there before the closing bell.
When the scorecards were read, the bout was ruled a majority draw. Even though the former champion had outpointed his opponent in Rounds 1 and 3, two of the judges scored Round 2 a 10-8 in favor of Guskov.

“Definite robbery, never a 10-8 round in the second.”
@Sniffmeta opined:
“Okay, I can see the draw. Guskov definitely turned it up in the second, but Jan controlled the other rounds. Split decision makes sense, even if it’s a bummer.”
@Qtep2step chimed in:
“S**t is rigged asf Jan CLEARLY won, y’all are just trying to stick it to the sports bettors who knew Jan was gonna win.”
However, @blankcardboard felt Guskov deserved the win:
“Robbery. Guskov won that fight. Jan showed heart pressing forward in the 3rd and got the knockdown, but he still lost that round.”
