The rapper community has reacted to 21 Savage and Young Thug saying, “F*ck the streets”. While a few have supported them, many, like Blueface and Boosie Badazz, have slammed the movement and refused to take part in it.
21 Savage, whose real name is Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, and Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams II, have started this movement. It originated from a December 19 X (formerly Twitter) post by Savage regarding Thug and Gunna’s feud. Both rappers ended up tweeting:
“F*ck the streets”
Following this, many other rappers have shared their thoughts on it. Boosie Badazz slammed the movement on X on Saturday, December 20. He wrote:
“IF THE RAPPERS GO SAY F*CK THE STREETS YALL NEED TO STOP RAPPING BOUT EM!! STOP DOUBLE DIPPING!! RAP ABOUT FRUITS ,COLLEGE COURSES N STAYING OUT THE STREETS!! F U FROM THE STREETS THE STREETS SHAPED YOU TO THE MAN U R TODAY. YOUR MINDSET ,YOUR HUSTLE ,YOUR INTUITION etc. COME FROM THE STREETS!!”
Badazz further wrote that every successful independent record label started from the streets. He added that while he wants “every kid to make it out the streets”, he will never say, “F*ck the streets”, adding that it supported many artists.
Blueface also shared a post on X late on Saturday, writing:
“Next time say fuc yo street lol I’m not shaking none of you n****s hands back stage no more I never thought I’d see the day n****s saying fuc the streets for a 21 savage feature f*ck da industry !”
Fivio Foreign also refused to take part in the movement, writing on X:
“The streets is the reason why a lot of these n****s in these big positions. I ah never turn my back on my biggest support system. How n****s help change the streets or save the streets.”
On the other hand, the likes of Pooh Shiesty, Big30, and G Herbo have supported the movement by tweeting, “F*ck the streets”.
What is Young Thug and 21 Savage’s “F*ck the streets” movement?

21 Savage wrote a post on X on December 17, urging Young Thug and Gunna to squash their beef and join hands again. He stated that they need to put things under the rug, writing:
“Yall n****s fix that shit yall love each other n**** you knew gunna wasn’t no gangster when he told the first time and we swept it under the rug for you you know he wasn’t tryna leave you to hang n**** f*ck the streets we ain’t get sh*t but trauma from that sh*t.”
Young Thug responded to this by tweeting two days later:
“F*ck the streets @21savage”
This led to a movement where the rap community picked their sides. Meanwhile, Young Thug’s comment appears to suggest that he is open to ending his beef with Gunna, but there has been no clarification yet.
Their beef started in 2022 after they were arrested along with other YSL members. They were charged with an alleged breach of the RICO Act, among others. Gunna signed a plea deal and was released that year. This led to many, including Thug, claiming that he has allegedly snitched to the authorities, which Gunna denied.
