NFL followers mock Aaron Glenn as Jets HC particulars imaginative and prescient for franchise amid abysmal 3-12 file

Aaron Glenn delivered a message to New York Jets fans on Monday. The first-year coach asked them to trust his rebuilding project as it takes shape.

“Just don’t let go of the rope because there is a plan, there is a vision,” Glenn said in his press conference.

“From day one we’ve been trying to set the foundation of what we want this team to be. We still have a number of things we have to go through as far as making sure that everybody understands exactly what we’re trying to accomplish, what type of team do we want to be, and our guys know that.”

Fans shared their reactions to it on X.

Here are a few more reactions.

“I want to believe in AG, but I am tired of coaches with 3 year contracts with 4 year plans!'” one fan commented.

“It’s like Groundhog Day we’ve heard this speech far too many times over the past 15 years , it’s over and over and over , rinse and repeat….sadly with no end in sight !” a fan said.

“Has that vision been communicated to the fans? I don’t think I’ve heard anything other than ‘we HAVE a plan and vision,'” another fan commented.

Glenn was hired by the franchise in January. The Jets (3-12) are coming off a 5-12 season.

New York’s offense has found the end zone just twice in its last three games, while the defense hasn’t grabbed an interception this season.

The Jets lost their first seven games and traded Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams. They pulled Justin Fields from the starting lineup and let go of defensive coordinator Steve Wilks on Dec. 15.

Brady Cook will get another start on Sunday against New England. The undrafted rookie quarterback has been sacked 17 times and has thrown six interceptions across three appearances. Tyrod Taylor is back from injury but won’t play.
