Colin Cowherd predicts 2 groups for Ravens to commerce Lamar Jackson amid reported rift

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are on the brink of elimination from playoff contention. Furthermore, there are reports about a potential rift between Jackson and head coach John Harbaugh.

Colin Cowherd is predicting two teams that could be in play for the two-time MVP.

“Baltimore, arguably, has the best owner in the game. Great owner, great coach, great equity, great fans, unbelievable brand. I could absolutely see them taking a phone call from the (Las Vegas) Raiders or the (Miami) Dolphins, absolutely.”

“Well, why would the Raiders and Dolphins do that? Have you watched the Raiders play the last five years? Have you watched the Dolphins? Regressive quarterback this year.”

“I’ve always had a rule. There are about six quarterbacks in the league. And I know I say this too often, I would not even pick up the phone, no matter the offer… Lamar, to me, was always in the group. Now he’s transitioned. I’ll take phone calls. Then there are about 15 GMs, 15 teams; you should get on the phone and make calls to upgrade at quarterback. That’s most of the league. But Lamar was always one of those.”

The Miami Dolphins benched Tua Tagovailoa for rookie shot caller Quinn Ewers. It’s looking increasingly likely that Tagovailoa has played his last snap for the Dolphins. Jackson could add significant star quality to Mike McDaniel’s team.

The Las Vegas Raiders’ quarterback issues are well-documented. The Raiders haven’t had a reliable shot caller since the glory days of Derek Carr. Jackson could be an elite replacement for Geno Smith for the 2026 season.

Lamar Jackson remains one of the best dual-threat QBs in football. However, injuries have plagued him this season, and potentially left the door open for a blockbuster trade.

Lamar Jackson listed as doubtful for must-win game

The Baltimore Ravens need to win their Week 17 game against the Green Bay Packers to keep their playoff hopes alive. However, their superstar quarterback is listed as doubtful.

According to Yahoo Sports, Lamar Jackson is dealing with a back injury suffered against the New England Patriots in Week 16. Jackson hasn’t practiced all week, and his team is leaving the door slightly open for Week 17.

However, it’s rare to see NFL players feature after being listed as doubtful. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley will start if Jackson is downgraded to out.
