I did not get the prospect

The AEW World Championship is the most pretigious title in the Tony Khan-led company. Popular star and former two-time World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page recently spoke about his title reigns in the company.

The Hangman had an eventful 2025. After coming out of the chaos of 2024, the star broke out as a top babyface in the company. His most memorable moment was possibly capturing the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley and freeing the gold from the clasp of the Death Riders.

Page was recently honored as Uncrowned Wrestler of the year 2025. During an interview, he mentioned that his recent AEW title reign was cut short after an unexpected loss to Samoa Joe. He regretted not having the chance to defend the gold against major company stars like Darby Allin, Will Ospreay, and Swerve Strickland. He noted having singles matches with these stars, but the stakes would be higher if the world title was on the line.

“I didn’t get the chance to defend it against Darby Allin. I didn’t get the chance to defend it against Will Ospreay. I didn’t get the chance to defend it against Swerve. We’ve had a number of one-on-one matches, and they have all been very important in their own ways, but not once has a one-on-one between the two of us been for the Men’s World Championship. That was something that, especially after what he did at All In, that I intended on doing. My only choice now is to win the championship back and continue that, and start to plan for those defenses.”

“Hangman” Adam Page was at AEW Worlds End

It was a star-studded main event at Worlds End as Samoa Joe defended the gold against “Hangman” Adam Page, Swerve Strickland, and MJF in a fatal four-way match.

Thoughough Page fought with all his heart, he could now walk out as the winner. MJF used underhanded tactics to pin Samoa Joe and regain the world championship.

However, Page has Friedman in his sights and could look to regain the championship soon.
