Alex Pereira reacts after sons Alessandro and Lohan win grappling contests

The next generation of MMA stars seem ready to take over, at least from Alex Pereira’s side.

Pereira is already one of the biggest names in the combat sports world having conquered the kickboxing and MMA realms.

Poatan’ is a two-division UFC champion and is on the hunt to become a triple champion in the promotion. While he is chasing history in the UFC, the Brazilian’s sons are also making waves in the grappling scene.

Alessandro and Lohan recently participated in the Reality Fighting event on January 3 with the pair taking on Americans in grappling contests.

Pereira was present to cheer on his sons while his coach, Glover Teixeira, was also there. The youngsters train under Teixeira, who has helped Pereira conquer the UFC. ’Poatan’ shared several videos and photos from the event as his sons picked up wins at the event.

Alessandro defeated Derik Pazmino while Lohan beat Grayson Matton. Pereira posted his thoughts on the wins and was proud of his sons.

The Brazilian’s translated message from Instagram read:

“Very happy and proud of my sons, chama”

Alex Pereira on his sons following his footsteps into combat sports

Alessadro and Lohan have already started making their mark in the combat sports world and that couldn’t have come without the support of their father.

Alex Pereira seems open to allowing his sons to continue with their MMA careers and revealed that his path could make it easier for them.

Speaking to the press ahead of UFC 320, he claimed that he had no clear path while training for MMA, but that wouldn’t be the case for his sons:

“It could be easier for them. When I was training, I had no plans. … With me as their dad, we could make it happen.”

Pereira’s sons have been at several UFC events over the years and have celebrated with their father. With ‘Poatan’ supporting them, the pair could be well on their to dominating MMA in the coming years.
