Undisputed ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon of Thailand is best known for his devastating head kicks.
The Thai maestro manages to unleash his killshot with little to no wind-up. His ballistic signature weapon was on full display in vicious finishes of Giorgio Petrosyan and Tayfun Ozcan.
However, Superbon has noticed that his opponents are now more wary of his ferocious kicks.
With challengers hyper-aware of the threat, it’s getting increasingly challenging for him to land his best strike.

Superbon shared his observation in a South China Morning Post (SCMP) interview:
“I think they know about the high kick. So he was protecting himself against it all the time. So it is hard to get to the point. But with everything else, I did it well with the knee, with the teep, with the left kick, everything in the plan.”
Then again, the 35-year-old virtuoso is a well-rounded striker with a variety of weapons in his arsenal.
Superbon displayed his versatility with a five-round striking masterclass against Masaaki Noiri at ONE 173 last November to unify the 155-pound kickboxing belts.
His technical arsenal and ring intelligence remain second to none, making Superbon one of the best strikers on the planet.

Superbon ready to defend belt at all costs
After cementing his status as the undisputed ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion, Superbon knows the job is far from over.
There are already a slew of hungry challengers looking to steal his crown, including ‘Spirit Dragon’ Liu Mengyang and familiar foe Marat Grigorian.
But as far as the 35-year-old champion is concerned, it doesn’t matter who emerges as his next opponent.
Superbon told ONE:
“I don’t care who I’m going to fight next. I can fight everyone or anyone. I don’t mind facing anyone. I’m ready to defend my belt.”
