NFL followers cut up as Brian Daboll interviews for $6,300,000,000 AFC franchise

Brian Daboll was fired by the New York Giants about two months before Kevin Stefanski was let go by the Cleveland Browns. However, both now find themselves in the same spot in trying to find a landing spot for 2026. Daboll will reportedly get a shot to win over one AFC South franchise.

According to a Tuesday report by Tom Pelissero on X, Daboll will interview for the head coach role of the Tennessee Titans on Friday.

“Former Giants coach Brian Daboll will interview for the Titans head coaching job Friday,” Pelissero posted.

The news caused a mixed reaction with some fans on board and others voicing their displeasure.

“Must be a DEI interview for the disabled and incompetent,” one fan joked.

“Better than Stefanski, McCarthy and LaFleuer,” another posted.

“guess we’re interviewing the entire league,” one surmised.

While many fans were against the move, others were rooting for the choice to interview Daboll.

“He’s going to be their next head coach. Year 2 for Cam Ward should be a good one,” a fan posted.

“Great to see Daboll getting another shot; hope he shows that Giants offensive spark.,” another added.

“🔥,” one simply posted.

Daboll started 9-7 in his first year with the franchise, but lost ground every season, finishing with six, three, and two wins in each of his subsequent seasons. When he was let go from New York, he was 2-8.

Exploring potential additional landing spots for Brian Daboll

After three consecutive losing seasons and in a coaching cycle loaded with quality candidates, Brian Daboll will face stiff competition for a head coaching role. If he can’t win over the $6.3 billion Titans (Forbes) or find another landing spot as a head coach, he might need to return as an offensive coordinator.

Before joining the New York Giants, Daboll had spent most of his coaching career in the AFC East between the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills.

If he can’t get a head coach job, joining one of the franchises building a new coaching staff could be a fit, such as the Baltimore Ravens or Miami Dolphins.

Of course, the former Giants coach will logically exhaust every head coaching avenue he can before accepting what many would call a demotion. With no head coaches decided in the NFL just yet, Brian Daboll has little reason to throw in the towel.
