The Lake County Captains, an affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians in Minor League Baseball’s High-A Midwest League, will pay tribute to their parent club in 2026 with new jerseys just unveiled today. The Captains, who play less than 20 miles from Cleveland’s Progressive Field, placed their anchor-based C and custom script on red jerseys that emulate similar ones worn by the Guardians.

The Captains will wear the “Legacy Red” uniforms on Sundays in 2026. The jerseys, which were created in coordination with the branding firm Official League, feature Captains logo patches on each sleeve and uniform numbers in a Guardians-esque font on the front and back.

The Captains brand centers around a captain character who has appeared in different iterations of logos since the team’s inception in 2003. The team’s current brand, designed by Kevin McLaughlin and introduced in 2024, is defined by the captain’s outsized mustache.

The Captains will make their 2026 debut on April 2, with the first Sunday home game taking place more than two weeks later on April 19.
