Will there be a Landman season 3? Renewal, solid, and extra

Landman season 3 was officially confirmed by Paramount+ on December 5, 2025, just a few weeks after the second season began. Created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, the series follows the intense world of oil rigs and the wildcat billionaires who run them.

The cast is led by Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, a crisis executive and “fixer” for the oil industry. Other major stars include Demi Moore as Cami Miller, Ali Larter as Tommy’s ex-wife Angela, and Jacob Lofland as his son, Cooper. Legendary actor Sam Elliott also joined the cast in the second season as Tommy’s father.

With the second season having just concluded on January 18, 2026, Landman season 3 is expected to follow the show’s annual release pattern. Fans can likely look forward to a premiere in late 2026.

Who will return in Landman season 3? Every confirmed detail about the upcoming season of Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace series

Landman was renewed for a third season on December 5, 2025, following a record-breaking season 2 premiere that pulled in over 9.2 million viewers in just two days, a 262% increase over the first season.

Most of the central cast is confirmed to return for the third season. Billy Bob Thornton will continue to lead the series as Tommy Norris, with the actor reportedly signed onto a multi-year deal. Ali Larter is set to return as Angela Norris, alongside Demi Moore, who plays Cami Miller.

The younger generation of the Norris family will also remain central to the story, with Jacob Lofland returning as Cooper and Michelle Randolph reprising her role as Ainsley. Fans can expect to see more of Sam Elliott in his role as T.L., as well as Andy Garcia, who portrays the powerful businessman Gallino.

Additionally, the essential “boots on the ground” crew members will be back, who will be played by James Jordan, Kayla Wallace, and Mustafa Speaks. While an exact release date hasn’t been set, the Landman season 3 is expected to premiere in late 2026.

Production is slated to begin in April or May 2026. Following the season 2 finale cliffhanger, the plot will likely focus on Tommy starting his own independent oil company, CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle, after being fired by Cami. This sets the stage for a massive corporate rivalry as Tommy poaches his former team to build a new empire from the ground up.

Regarding the third season’s plot details, Billy Bob Thornton gave the following statement in a chat with the Men’s Journal:

“Taylor plays it very close to the vest. He doesn’t tell any of us what he’s up to. He’ll probably tell me, maybe after I get the first script. Then he’ll tell me a few things that are going to happen.”

Viewers can watch both seasons of Landman exclusively on Paramount+ before the third season arrives. Additionally, individual episodes and full seasons are also available for purchase through digital retailers like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home.
