The Baltimore Orioles will be sporting a slightly different look on select nights during the upcoming 2026 Major League Baseball season.
The Orioles rolled out a new alternate cap on their social media channels on Tuesday, January 20. It features an orange script “B” — lifted from the wordmark on their road uniforms — on a black crown. The bill of the cap is orange, while the underbill is black.

The new cap looks an awful lot like a cap currently in their rotation, which features a script “O’s” logo in orange on a black crown. In 2025, the “O’s” cap was worn exclusively with Baltimore’s black alternate jerseys that have an orange script “Orioles” wordmark on the chest.
It’s unclear if the new “B” cap is replacing the “O’s” cap or being thrown in the mix alongside it. The former seems unlikely, though, as the Orioles’ cartoon bird is wearing the “O’s” cap in their primary logo.

The script “B” on the new cap also appears on the Orioles’ City Connect caps; there, it’s white on a black crown. The City Connect cap also has mosaic patterns on the underbill and sweatband, mirroring patterns found elsewhere on the City Connect jerseys.

The Orioles also wear two caps with the cartoon bird on the front: one with an all-black crown and one where the bird sits on a white panel at the front.

The Orioles didn’t specify in their announcement on Tuesday if there was a schedule for the new cap or how often it would be worn. It is, however, available to purchase in different New Era silhouettes on MLBShop.com.
