Nate Diaz recently shared his thoughts on the upcoming Justin Gaethje vs. Paddy Pimblett clash and issued his prediction for it.
Gaethje and Pimblett are set to throw down in a lightweight interim title fight at UFC 324 this weekend in Las Vegas. Given Gaethje’s reputation as a hard-hitting striker with exemplary wrestling skills, many believe he’s got what it takes to hand Pimblett his first UFC loss. However, Diaz disagrees.
In an interview at the Zuffa Boxing 01 event, the Stockton slugger was asked for his prediction. Backing ‘The Baddy’ to beat Gaethje, he replied:
“Paddy, baby. Let’s go. I think he’s gonna piss him off and be obnoxious in there. I like Paddy.”

Gaethje is coming off a unanimous decision win over Rafael Fiziev at UFC 313 last March and is 3-2 in his last five outings. Meanwhile, Pimblett is coming off a statement third-round knockout victory over Michael Chandler at UFC 314 last April and boasts an undefeated 7-0 record in the promotion.
Ex-UFC champ issues a warning to Paddy Pimblett ahead of his Justin Gaethje clash
Former UFC middleweight king Israel Adesanya recently shared his thoughts on the Justin Gaethje vs. Paddy Pimblett clash. While Adesanya lauded Pimblett’s resume and fighting skills, he warned the Liverpudlian against underestimating Gaethje in the cage.
In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Adesanya shared some words of advice for Pimblett and said:
“Paddy has been on a tear, took over Cage Warriors, came to UFC. People have questioned the strength of his resume… We had doubted him many times, and then once we saw what happened with King Green, we were like, okay. And then we saw how he dominated Chandler… we doubted him… You haven’t seen the guy tested… I think he’s also polished his style a little bit better… He’s mixing it up very well. Flying kicks, good boxing, mixing up some grappling.”
He added:
“Gaethje is a different beast… You don’t want to be a highlight. [Gaethje] doesn’t get tired… I think this is Paddy’s biggest challenge yet… Perfect opponent, perfect fight… Old dog, new dog.”
