Who is Neo Langston? D4vd’s pal and streamer reportedly arrested after failing to seem as witness on Celeste Rivas’ murder case

D4vd’s friend, Neo Langston, was arrested on Thursday, January 22, in Helena, Montana. He reportedly failed to turn up in court as a witness in the Celeste Rivas homicide case.

For the unversed, Celeste Rivas’ dead body was found in a Tesla car in Los Angeles in September last year. The car was registered to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. At the time of writing this article, he hasn’t been charged with the 15-year-old’s murder.

Since November last year, a grand jury has been hearing the homicide case, with many witnesses having testified. As per Complex, a witness didn’t show up in court on December 10. While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, there is speculation that it was Neo Langston.

TMZ has now reported that Langston was arrested in Helena, Montana, on January 22, before appearing in front of a judge the following day. He was then shifted to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles. However, he paid a $60,000 bail and was released.

Neo Langston is a popular streamer with the online username NeoTheAsian. He is active on multiple social media platforms, mainly Twitch, and is 23 years old. He has often been seen with D4vd, as they uploaded their pictures together on Instagram and other social media platforms.

Celeste Rivas’ body was discovered in a Tesla car in a Hollywood tow yard on September 8, 2025. As per a Los Angeles Times report, dated November 24, 2025, this was declared as an “investigation for murder” for the first time that month. This also came as the authorities looked to block the medical examiner’s findings from being released.

LAPD Detective Joshua Byers argued in court that revealing the medical details,

“will reveal or tend to reveal the ongoing investigation and the integrity of the investigation as well as the identity of witnesses and/or informants who are cooperating with law enforcement and the content of the information they have provided, which could endanger the lives of witnesses and/or compromise the investigation.”

The court then ordered that the medical documents “be sealed and maintained in a secure location in the custody of the clerk of the court until further order of this court”. Notably, there was plenty of speculation about the case, with some reports claiming that Celeste Rivas’ body was decapitated, which the LAPD denied.

Meanwhile, Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Odey Ukpo argued the court’s order, stating:

“Since becoming the department head, I’ve worked on eradicating the practice of placing security holds on Medical Examiner cases simply by law enforcement request.

“The practice of security holds is virtually unheard of in other counties and has not been proven to improve outcomes in the legal system. We are dedicated to serving our community with full transparency; however, the law precludes us from doing so while the court order remains in this case.”

Meanwhile, Rivas had been missing from her home since 2024 before her body was found. D4vd’s relationship with her is unclear, but her mother had revealed that Rivas was in a relationship with a boy named David.
