Fortnite x Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration so as to add Night City’s antagonist to the Metaverse

It has taken a while, but we’re finally seeing another Fortnite x Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration, and it has the community up in excitement. Given the impact that Night City (and Edgerunners, to a large extent) has left on players, everyone wants to be associated with it in some way. While some make it to the major leagues (rest in peace, Jackie Welles), others go down in history as antagonists; speaking of which, the next crossover with feature one of the worst ones there is.

Epic Games or CD Projekt RED has not explicitly mentioned who’s going to be the next playable character from Cyberpunk 2077 coming to the Metaverse. However, the wording used in the gives more than enough of a hint. That being said, here’s what you need to know about the upcoming Fortnite x Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration.

Fortnite x Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration to feature Adam Smasher

The first Fortnite x Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration featured V (female) and Johnny Silverhand. It goes without saying that while the characters made a strong debut, many expected more individuals from Night City to be added to the game. Sadly, that did not happen. This was rather disheartening, since the crossover occurred nearly two years after Cyberpunk: Edgerunners debuted.

Fast forward to 2026, and it would seem that Epic Games and CD Projekt Red have finally heard the pleas of fans worldwide. Later this year, none other than Adam Smasher will be added to the game as an Outfit, aka a playable character. Doesn’t expect to be kitted out in cybernetic wargear as the Metaverse has rules of its own, but being able to cosplay as this mercenary will bring a smile to faces.

Aside from this antagonist, we could see David (or perhaps V’s male counterpart) being added as part of the upcoming Fortnite x Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration. There is no teaser related to this character, but given how Adam Smasher and David are related, it would make for a good fit.

Coming to a release date, there is no timeline at the moment. We could see the character(s) being released as promotional content for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, but as mentioned, no fixed date has been set. The official teaser also uses the word “soon,” but that could be months from now.

That’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Fortnite x Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration. We could get more information about the same from leakers/data-miners before things come to fruition sometime during C7S2.
