AEW star Kris Statlander has been with the Jacksonville-based company since 2019. She is one of the most talented names on the roster, and Tony Khan has been booking her well. She will challenge AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla for her title at Revolution 2026.
Statlander is currently in a relationship with a Mexican wrestler named Gino Medina. The couple recently celebrated their first anniversary of being together.

Kris Statlander’s rivalry with Thekla has been captivating. The Toxic Spider ended the former’s Women’s World Title reign on the February 11, 2026, episode of Dynamite. The 30-year-old wants to regain her title, and she might fulfil her dream at Revolution.
Statlander vs. Thekla has the potential to be one of the greatest matches in All Elite Wrestling history. Hopefully, this showdown will also help the progress of several important storylines.
Kris Statlander on working with the Best Friends
Kris Statlander was a member of the now-defunct Best Friends faction. Apart from her, this group consisted of Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta, and Orange Cassidy, among others.
The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien has fond memories of working with this stable. In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, she candidly spoke about her amazing experience.
“If it was like based off of my experience, I think earlier on getting to work with Best Friends is probably one of my favorite experiences. It was just a very- we had a lot of fun and that was really like the best time,” she said. [H/T: Fightful]
Only time will tell what the future holds for the former AEW Women’s World Champion. She seems quite loyal to Tony Khan. However, it will be interesting to see in a WWE ring someday.
