Ricochet has become one of the biggest attractions on AEW programming over the past few years. He recently tried to pass a lot of negative comments about WWE which led to a lot of backlash from the fans.
The Lightskin Kingpin spent a long time working for the Stamford-based promotion. He won several championships in the company including the United States Championship and the NXT North American Championship. He left the promotion following WrestleMania XL after being brutally attacked by Bron Breakker on RAW.
He recently spoke with Mark Hoke on the Mark Hoke show where he buried WWE and stated that working there tarnished his wrestling legacy.
“I really think those five years, specifically the wrestling side of it, that five years really tarnished Ricochet’s wrestling legacy,” He said. [H:T/Fightful]
This led to a lot of fans making fun of his run in All Elite Wrestling. Fans thought he’ll get a main event push in AEW but that didn’t happen as well.
“And we’re still waiting for that AEW push😂😂,” a fan wrote.
“I hope he is working,” another fan wrote.

Ricochet heavily criticized his run in WWE
During the same podcast, the former United States Champion looked back at his career in WWE. He said Monday Night RAW was the worst thing that happened to his in-ring career.
“That’s how I put Ricochet’s wrestling career. Those five years were like being blipped away to a different universe. It just wasn’t me. Coming back to AEW and finding that love was like when Tony Stark finally defeated Thanos and all the people came back…I already know how this is going to sound and how people will take this, but the day we got called to Raw was the worst thing that happened,” he said.
It will be interesting to see what’s next for him in AEW.
