Since his debut in WWE at Elimination Chamber 2026, Danhausen has been making headlines with his work backstage on RAW and SmackDown. While the fans’ reception of the star’s debut was not overwhelming, Danhausen has become one of the most popular and talked-about names lately.
With WrestleMania on the horizon, WWE has been working hard on making matches official for the Grandest Stage of Them All. This has raised many questions about the company’s plans for Danhausen around the Showcase of the Immortals, given that the star has not been engaged in a proper feud to date.
Thanks for the submission!
While the former AEW star has been seen backstage with multiple stars, his storyline of putting a curse on everyone has not been able to build a rivalry. While the company’s plans for the star at WrestleMania remain unknown, Fanatics has made a major announcement, offering a potential tease about the star’s future.
The Stamford-based company is set to host WWE World in partnership with Fanatics Event during the entire WrestleMania week this year as well, and Danhausen is one of the latest additions to the event, making it clear that the star is available during the week and could make his presence felt at the Show of Shows as well. The former AEW star reacted to his addition to the event, expressing his excitement to be part of WrestleMania week.
“Danhausen is officially a part of Wrestlemania week. What a world we live in. (Danhausens world),” he wrote.
Major update on Danhausen’s contractual status before joining WWE
Danhausen’s debut at Elimination Chamber coincidentally came on the same night when he teased his potential exit from AEW. The star’s contract reportedly expired in February 2026, leaving fans around the world wondering whether he had jumped ship before his deal with the Tony Khan-led company expired.
A recent update from Fightful cleared the air, revealing that the star’s contract with AEW expired on February 28, following which, he discussed his debut in the Triple H-led company. It would be interesting to see what Tony Khan has to say about this switch in the near future.
