Congratulations to Erik of The War Raiders as he makes an enormous life-changing announcement

Erik, one-half of The Viking Raiders, made a massive announcement on an Instagram post, and there is no doubt that this one is going to be life-changing for him.

As some of you might know, he is married to Sarah Logan, who is a former WWE superstar with two stints in the company – the first being a part of The Riott Squad (on the main roster), and the second being Valhalla, accompanying The War Raiders. She is also a mother to two boys, which gives her husband a chip on his shoulder when he comes to work.

Erik shared a great piece of news on Instagram as he revealed that he is having a third child with Sarah Logan, and this time, it will be a baby girl. A huge congratulations to him and Sarah Logan for this life-changing moment and announcement.

Erik’s partner, Ivar, was retired for 5 days in 2024

Erik may have had to become a singles star in WWE, or his career could have taken a major turn (not necessarily for the better) in 2024 when his War Raiders partner, Ivar, revealed that he was technically retired for a few days.

On an episode of the Gorilla Position podcast, Ivar revealed that he had retired for five days after being informed by the medical team about his condition:

“So, the first injury was the temporary paralysis, and that resulted in a double fusion. So, I had two levels fused (…) That was in 2020, and last year, right around now, the level above herniated. So, for five days, the medical team told me when they got my results for the MRI that my career was over. They gave me mental health paperwork to prepare myself and stuff,” Ivar said.

So what changed? Essentially, the surgeon in Birmingham, Alabama, where WWE stars go to get major treatments, told Ivar after an analysis of his MRI that he could rehab the injury.

Not too long after, Erik and Ivar would go on to win the World Tag Team Championships before losing them to The New Day at WrestleMania 41. It is known that many wrestlers have limited time and compete through all sorts of pain and injuries, and it appears as though the company has taken a more careful approach in the modern day.

Still, it doesn’t change the fact that a lot of wrestlers are competing on what is essentially borrowed time.
