Ethereal in King Legacy is a Legendary sword that can be obtained by defeating the Bushido Ape. This is an endgame piece of equipment that only players above level 4,000 can attempt to acquire. Considering how challenging its acquisition can be, the Ethereal sword is one of the rarest swords in the game. Consequently, it is also an immensely powerful one, dealing tens of thousands of damage with its swings.
Let’s take a quick look at Ethereal in King Legacy, going over its acquisition method and skills.
Breaking down Ethereal in King Legacy
How to get

In order to get Ethereal, you must have access to the Third Sea and be above level 4,000 at the very least. Once you fulfill these prerequisites, head over to The Shallow island and wait for the Bushido Ape to spawn. This boss battle only appears every fourth in-game night, meaning you have to wait up to 50 minutes to fight it. When it spawns, the game sends a global illumination informing everyone of a “red-eyed ape” appearing on the map.
The Bushido Ape is a level 5,000 enemy with 500,000 HP in total. Its moveset is simple, but its stats are extremely high, and you may not be able to survive its hits if it manages to land them. It resists sword damage as well when below 15% HP, so it would be prudent to switch to your preferred fighting style instead. We recommend being patient and working with a friend to try and whittle its HP down in a relatively short time.
Once defeated, the Bushido Ape has a 10% chance to drop the Ethereal sword. Boss respawns are lengthy and it despawns if not defeated within 15 minutes of its initial appearance. Naturally, these elements contribute to the rarity and challenge of getting the Ethereal.

Skills

Ethereal comes with two unique skills: Blaze Cleaver and Infernal Blitz. Here’s a brief breakdown of what these moves do:
- Blaze Cleaver: Slash in front of you to send three flaming waves directly ahead. 18,880 baseline damage.
- Infernal Blitz: Perform an advancing flaming slash. 14,465 baseline damage.
Infernal Blitz has a mobility aspect to it, where you may intentionally miss the attack to move in the chosen direction. While it may not help you extend a combo, it can be perfect as an evasive maneuver or as a way to catch the opponent off-guard.
